Street Parking Relief for Residents to be investigated

At the Council meeting on 1 August, I seconded the motion to receive a petition from concerned Queen Street residents and to request a review into the issues regarding on-street parking conditions for residents. As our city gets more populated with more traffic congestion, it is getting increasingly difficult for residents to access parking on our streets for their visitors, tradespersons and carers.  I believe that our residential streets are primarily for the use of residents and not for commuters who want a short cut to bus stops.  I was also privaleged to move the motion to progress the implementation of the City-wide Schools Traffic, Parking & Safety Review for the area around Marryatville High School, and seconding the motion for the area around St Josephs Memorial School.
